Mecca k9 Search Team

24/7/365

Founded in 1998 as N.E.O.S.A.R. (North East Ohio Search & Rescue), the Mecca K9 Team was the first search team of it's kind in Trumbull County.

Current members include actively training volunteer dog handlers, support persons, and search dogs. Members train weekly in a formal session, and often practice outside the formal sessions individually, or with other team members.

You can learn more about our Team Members and K9 Team by visiting their pages.

Serving NE Ohio and Western Pennsylvania as part of the Mecca Volunteer Fire Department, the team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

As a volunteer organization, we are fully supported by donations and fund raisers.

NEW! Be sure to visit the Community Focus page for pictures and details of our recent visit to the Berlin Lake Water Safety Day!

A very special Thank You goes to Rick from the Carroll County Search and Rescue Team for not only inviting us to this great event, but also for all the hard work he, his family, and his team put in rounding up lunch and other donations! Thank You Rick!

We have added a Company Links page with links to the companies who donate the use of their land for our training sessions. We are very appreciative of this courtesy!

If you would like to donate the use of your land, please contact Chief Woofter!
